Colorado artist, wildlife enthusiast, and 2016 inductee in the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame, Veryl Goodnight will discuss highlights from her fifty-year career. Veryl lives on a ranch overlooking Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado. Preferring to work from live models, the rugged terrain provides many of her subjects. Veryl’s work has been exhibited widely, from the National Museum of the American Indian, to the Booth Western Art Museum, and the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Hear about her current work, the story behind her Spirit of Autumn sculpture in the Haub Family Collection at TAM, and her passion for the West. The lecture is followed by a reception. Cost: $10 ($5 members and students with ID).
