Univera Serve First Foundation hosts the second annual 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run benefitting the children and families served by FISH Food Banks. Have your photo taken with Miss Washington and Rhubarb, mascot of the Tacoma Rainiers. The race begins at 9:00 a.m. at Owens Beach in Pt. Defiance Park. Pre-registration is encouraged. A 100-yard dash for children 6 and under, and a half-mile dash for 12 and under take place before the 5K. Registration is $35, and $10 for kids 12 and under. All race proceeds go directly to feed people in need.
